Petrol station attack 'kills 18' in Pakistan<br />

(bbc) At least 18 people have been killed after attackers opened fire at a<br />
petrol station in south-western Pakistan, triggering a huge blaze,<br />
officials say.<br />
Reported victims of the attack in the Balochistan town of Khuzdar included<br />
seven women and four children who had been sitting in a van at the station.<br />
No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack.<br />

Meer trifft die japanische Wirtschaft hart. Chinesische Schiffe steuern<br />
erneut auf Provokationskurs.<br />
Säbelrasseln und Provokationen im Ostchinesischen Meer zwischen der<br />
Volksrepublik China und Japan gehen weiter: Am Wochenende sind erneut<br />
chinesische Schiffe in die Gewässer rund um ein zwischen den beiden Staaten<br />
umstrittenes Archipel eingedrungen, das die Japaner Senkaku und die<br />
Chinesen Diaoyu nennen. Peking und Tokio streiten offen und heftig um die<br />
unbewohnte Inselgruppe, die strategisch günstig in fischreichen Gewässern<br />
liegt und in deren Umgebung größere Erdöl- und Erdgasvorkommen vermutet<br />

Indonesia Poso: Police kill terror suspect in raid<br />

(bbc) Anti-terror police on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi have shot<br />
dead one suspected militant and arrested another in the district of Poso,<br />
police say.<br />
The suspects allegedly resisted arrest by throwing home-made bombs at the<br />
police when they swooped before dawn in the jungle village of Kayamaya.<br />
Two policemen were killed in the area last month while investigating an<br />
alleged Islamist training camp.<br />
