from the Safety Controller (C),

during initialization (comparison of the identified sensor
with the signal evaluation upon initialization testing).

Discrete interface between the Vehicle Interface
Module and the gas / brake motor:
- Deactivation of the gas pedal actuation is considered as a
safe status.
Discrete interface between the System Activation
Switch (integrated in the vehicle) and the Vehicle
Interface Module:
- Request is accepted during the initialization of the
control only; visible and audible display to the driver;
request is transferred after the expiration of a time slot of
sixty (60) seconds only.
Discrete line between the Steering Motor Engage
Switch and the Vehicle Interface:
- This is designed to provide information to the driver. If
actuated while cruising, this will generate a visible and
audible indication; no impact on the control function.
Power supply:
- Undervoltage monitoring of both vehicle voltages
(automotive battery / backup battery) by the controllers
(C).
