huaibei mining (group) company is located in huaibei city, Anhui
Province. it is adjacent to Jiangsu, shandong and he’nan provinces.
its business operation is scattered across huaibei, suzhou and
bozhou cities. it is a diversified and comprehensive large enter-prise
group with coal operation as its backbone and also engaged in
power generation, chemical industry, building materials, pharmaceutical
products, machinery, agriculture and forestry, commerce
and tourism. huaibei mining area is 9600 km2 and its coal reserve
is 8.5 billion ton. major coal ranks include coking coal, 1/3 coking
coal, gas coal, fat coal, lean coal, mean coal, anthracite and natural
coke. The coal in this area is considered as “green coal” because
of its high quality with low sulphur, extremely low phosphor,
low to medium ash content, high calorific value, strong caking
property, and good coking property. major coal brands are Linhuan
cleaned coal, Luling cleaned coal, huaibei cleaned Lean
coal, huaibei super mixed coal, and zhuxianzhuang steam coal.
it is the largest metallurgical coking coal production base in east
china.
in 2006, it has assets of 21.2 billion rmb, 16 operational coal
mines, and 6 coal mines under construction or planned to be
constructed. its annual production capacity is 25.19 million ton.
it has 9 coal preparation plants with coal preparation capacity of
18 million ton. it also owns 320 km self-use railway lines. it has
94,000 employees among which 60,000 are engaged in coal operation.
it produced 23.06 million ton of coal, sold 19.83 million
ton of commercial grade coal, among which 5.56 million ton was
metallurgical coking coal in 2006. The sales income for this year
was 12.79 billion rmb with profit and tax reaching 1.55 billion
rmb.
For the last 49 years, this company has produced 543 million ton
of coal, the accumulated tax and profit is 8.985 billion rmb and
earned 640 million usD in coal export. The whole group company
passed iso9001 Quality system certification. The company was
ranked the 256th in the Top 500 chinese enterprises and the 15th
of the Top 100 chinese coal enterprises.
by 2010, the coal production scale will reach 30 million ton, coal
preparation capacity 28 million ton, coke production capacity 4.4
million ton, methanol production capacity 400,000 ton, coal tar
processing capacity 300,000 ton, crude benzene processing capacity
80,000 ton, and installed coal-mud-and-washed-rejects-fired
power generation capacity 4×300 mw.
