Recognition, respect and trust
In 2014 there were many opportunities to address the complex topic of management guidelines in seminars,
workshops and team discussions.
we: Mr Zanker, the management
guidelines describe the principle
duties of senior management by
definition and set a framework
for collaboration with employees.
That sounds simple enough. But
does controlled leadership bring
success?
Zanker: Not necessarily, but predefined
rules and regulations are
useful in our daily routine. Jointly
established rules create team spirit
and provide food for thought.
They prompt us to reconsider our
behavioural patterns. And that
applies to us all. None of us are
machines.
For me, successful management
means first and foremost trust.
Trust in the skills of the employees.
It makes no difference
whether or not we are talking
about an executive. We all want to
be appreciated as human beings.
We want to achieve something in
a motivating environment and receive
recognition for it.
we: What are the special tasks of
the senior management?
Zanker: Being an executive is without
doubt a distinction, but this
kind of position also brings extremely
demanding tasks that
require courage. On behalf of the
management I would at this point
like to thank all colleagues who
have consciously accepted this
responsibility. The senior management
is responsible for results in
a specific area. In turn this is decisively
influenced by the respective
‘cooperation’ – and what matters
most is the quality of this cooperation.
Von Anerkennung, Respekt und Vertrauen
Helmut Zanker, CEO Spheros
we: Meanwhile there have been
numerous seminars and so-called
‘fireside chats’ at the Gilching,
Neubrandenburg and Turkey
plants. The other plants are to
follow. What was and is the objective?
brochure for downloading at https://portal.spheros.de
Redaktion: Herr Zanker, in Führungsleitlinien
werden per Definition
die Grundsätze der Arbeit von
Führungskräften beschrieben und
die Zusammenarbeit mit den Mitarbeitenden
geregelt. Das klingt
einfach. Bringt geregelte Führung
denn Erfolg?
Zanker: Nicht unbedingt, aber Regeln
unterstützen im Alltag, und
das gemeinsame Aufstellen von
Regeln schafft Zusammenhalt und
regt zum Nachdenken an, eigene
Verhaltensmuster zu überdenken.
Das gilt für uns alle. Wir sind alle
keine Maschinen.
Erfolgreich führen heißt für mich
in erster Linie Vertrauen. Vertrauen
in die Fähigkeiten der Mitarbeiter.
Dabei ist es zunächst auch egal, ob
wir von einer Führungskraft sprechen
oder nicht, alle wünschen
Zanker: The whole subject requires
space and recognition as such.
Guidelines cannot be decreed,
they must be internalized. Insight
alone does not secure success;
only when they are taken to heart,
exemplified and actively implemented
in everyday work routines
do they lead to the desired goal.
I hope that we will grow even
closer together in our work and
continue to develop our trust
and management culture. After
all, motivated and well-qualified
employees are the most valuable
resource a company can have. And
I wish us all every success.
wir uns, als Mensch anerkannt zu
werden, in einer motivierenden
Umgebung etwas zu leisten und
am Ende dafür die Anerkennung
zu bekommen.
Redaktion: Was ist dabei die besondere
Aufgabe der Führungskraft?
Zanker: Führungskraft zu sein,
ist zunächst zweifellos eine Auszeichnung,
aber auch eine außerordentlich
anspruchsvolle Aufgabe,
die Mut erfordert. Da möchte
ich mich im Namen der Geschäftsführung
bei allen Kolleginnen
und Kollegen bedanken, die sich
dieser Verantwortung auch bewusst
stellen. Die Führungskraft
ist für das Ergebnis in einem bestimmten
Bereich verantwortlich.
Das wird wiederum maßgeblich
beeinflusst vom jeweiligen „Miteinander“
– und auf die Qualität
dieses „Miteinanders“ kommt es
uns an.
zahlreiche Seminare und sogenannte
EBUS Award 2014 for Spheros
In this year the EBUS Award, the environmental award for buses in public transport, went to Spheros in the
“Innovative Components – Air Conditioning” category.
The Forum Verkehr und Logistik
under the patronage of Alexander
Dobrindt, Federal Minister of
Transport and Digital Infrastructure,
honours successful projects
and innovative products in the
electric bus sector with the EBUS
Award once a year. In light of constantly
increasing traffic density,
rising energy prices, dwindling
oil reserves and growing environmental
pollution the forum
wants to contribute to designing
sustainable and forward-looking
mobility.
“It doesn’t have to be the engineering
of a whole bus including
energy supply straight away, individual
innovative components in
electric buses also advance technical
development and support passengers’
motivation to change to
electric buses”, the initiators state
in the award announcement.
Spheros was able to convince the
jury of seven with their REVO-E,
Citysphere and Thermo H HVAC
solutions and received the EBUS
Award 2014 for the successful
implementation and permanent
further development of energy
efficient air conditioning systems.
“To hold this award in our hands
makes us extremely proud and encourages
us to proactively develop
integrated solutions for customer
requirements in the future and
constantly forge new paths”, said
Jürgen Haack, Managing Director
of Spheros Europa GmbH at
the presentation ceremony on 10
October 2014 in Cologne.
EBUS Award 2014 für Spheros
Der EBUS Award – Umweltpreis für Busse im öffentlichen Personennahverkehr – geht in diesem Jahr in der Kategorie
„Innovative Komponenten – Klimatisierung“ an Spheros.
denburg und der Türkei. Die anderen
Standorte werden folgen. Was
war und ist das Ziel?
Zanker: Das ganze Thema braucht
Raum und Wertschätzung an sich.
Leitlinien können nicht verordnet,
sondern müssen verinnerlicht
werden. Einsicht allein sichert be-
Mit diesem Award honoriert das
Forum für Verkehr und Logistik
unter der Schirmherrschaft von
Alexander Dobrindt, Bundesminister
für Verkehr und digitale
Infrastruktur, einmal im Jahr erfolgreiche
Projekte und innovative
Produkte im Bereich der
Elektrobusse. Angesichts stetig
wachsender Verkehrsdichte, steigender
Energiepreise, schwindender
Ölreserven und wachsender
Umweltverschmutzung möchte
das Forum mit dazu beitragen,
die Mobilität nachhaltig und zukunftsorientiert
zu gestalten.
„Es muss nicht gleich die Technik
eines ganzen Busses inkl. Energieversorgung
sein, auch einzelne
innovative Komponenten im E-Bus
bringen die technische Entwicklung
voran und unterstützen die
kanntlich den Erfolg noch nicht,
erst das Beherzigen, das Vorleben
und aktive Umsetzen im Arbeitsalltag
führt dabei ans Ziel.
Ich wünsche mir, dass wir noch
mehr zusammenwachsen, zusammenarbeiten
und unsere Vertrauens-
und damit Führungskultur
Motivation der Fahrgäste, auf den
E-Bus umzusteigen“, so die Initiatoren
in der Ausschreibung. Spheros
konnte die siebenköpfige Jury
mit den HVAC-Systemlösungen
REVO-E, Citysphere und Thermo H
überzeugen und erhält für die erfolgreiche
Realisierung und permanente
Weiterentwicklung von
energieeffizienten Klimaanlagen
den EBUS Award 2014.
weiterentwickeln. Motivierte und
gut qualifizierte Mitarbeiter sind
doch die wertvollste Ressource,
die ein Unternehmen haben kann.
Dabei wünsche ich uns allen viel
Erfolg.
