Monofilaments for Paper Machine Clothing(PMC) are with 63 % of the whole business is still dominant, but the target is to develop high performance monofilaments for new businesses and industrial end uses. Spacer fabrics are interesting textile solutions for a lot of applications from medicine to mattress, fromcar seat to filtration fabric. Through combination of pile threads and textile surfaces with a defined distance, the textile surfaces have positive influences to microclimatic properties. The distance is presselastic, depending on polymer, diameter, stiffness of the monofilament and the textile construction. High-Distance-Spacer with a thickness up to 50mm, are produced from monofilament diameters in arange between 0,15 mm and 0,30 mm. Elas-Ter monofilaments are made from thermoplastic polyether-ester elastomer (TPE-E). By means of variation in the polymer and/or modification of processparameter, many different monofilament types can be realized.
