At the University of Bremen he got his PHD inproduction engineering 1991, and his habilitation in the area of simulation of production systemsin 1997. From 1993 to 1995 he worked as Associated Professor at the Asian Institute of Technologyin Bangkok. 1996 he founded the SIPOC Simulation based Planning, Optimization andControl GmbH in Bremen. Since 1997 he has worked as professor for production planning andcontrol in the department of Electrical, Information and Media Engineering at the University ofWuppertal.IV InternationalILIAS Conference
