Glowe – Sunshine, Beach and the Sea!
Glowe bathing resort is a paradise for everybody but especially families like to come
here. Holiday quarters in every category are separated from the beach just by the
coastal road. Short ways make holidays in Glowe an easy pleasure. To the northwest
of the resort begins a bay with an 8km long natural beach and an informal
dress code for bathing suits. The food lane at the spa grounds offers something
for every taste. One may savour the sophisticated art of cooking, as well as fresh
regional dishes, pizza and smoked fish in Glowe. On the beach one may ride a pedal
boat, the banana, go waterskiing or join the children’s fun activities.
Apart from Glowe marina, aquatic sportsmen may also berth on the Bodden shores
in tiny Polchow harbour or Breege marina. One is immediately out on the open
sea at Glowe, which is why the resort is so popular for deep-sea game fishers. In
autumn and spring one goes for sea trout, salmon or cod. There is also opportunity
to go fishing with a local chef and afterwards prepare the catch together. There are
also many opportunities for hiking and biking or for horse riding. Juliusruh is in
walking distance strolling along the beach. Signposted hiking trails lead to Greater
Jasmund Bodden, to Lake Spycker or to the cranes’ resting places. It is also good to
go by bike around Glowe. In Bobbin holidaymakers are welcomed by a village church
and a farm shop, Polchow is the destination for everybody savouring fresh fish.
