Sports and Leisure on Jasmund
Hiking and biking are the classic activities on Jasmund.
Doing this visitors discover the most beautiful Bodden
scenery as well as the national park. But there are many
other opportunities to be active during the holidays. At
Castle Ranzow visitors find a newly renovate beautiful
manor house with restaurant and hotel, but also a “golf
academy”. To completely unwind and pamper beauty
and health one should visit “Jasmar THERME” in Neddesitz.
The only thermal spa on Jasmund offers an 80 m
chute, a 34° C pool for children, a warm indoor pool with
bubble beds, a wild water canal and an outdoor pool.
Four log cabin saunas and a herbal steam bath make the
sauna park a paradise of healthy recreation. Guests who
wish to continue their usual fitness training have plenty
opportunity for this in the regional hotels, but they may
also visit the fitness studio in Sassnitz shopping mall. On
600sqm there are best training facilities, also aerobics,
dance and other courses may be visited. There is another
swimming pool and sauna area at Sassnitz “Rügenhotel”.
In Sassnitz commercial area there is a bowling lane
with six alleys being lighted at night. Riding is possible in
Lohme and elsewhere; there are many signposted riding
trails. There are magnificent views to the Bodden while
riding out into the scenery. Even parts of the Baltic Sea
beaches are open for this sport.
