Das vorliegende Stück ist nach dem originalen Edelsteinmedaillon gefertigt, welches die Kaiserin Maria Feodorowna (1759-1828) im April 1789
Katharina II. als Geburtstagsgeschenk anfertigte. Es existieren zwei identische Exemplare im Hillwood Museum (USA) und State Hermitage
Museum (St. Petersburg).
