„The Experience we lived in Munster was
unique for us and totally different from
the one in Wolfsburg. Why? It's simple.
This time we were actors in a real life
simulation of an earthquake, we were
impressed by the exercises we had to
do, by the methods of the professional
instructors, the equipment and the real
commitment of the THW members. We
learned a lot of new things, important
issues related to how to act in situations
of disaster, of how important it is to obey
the rules in such circumstances, and the
most important thing we have learned is
what volunteering really means. Though
at the beginning we were unexpectedly
surprised by everything we had to
der Einsatz für die Teilnehmer. Es galt eine
vermisste Person auf einem Feld aufzufinden.
Der Einsatzauftrag wurde den Zügen
von den vor Ort bereits tätigen isländischen
Kollegen erteilt. Direkt im Anschluss
verlegten die Züge in das „Einsatzgebiet“,
das Übungsgelände Münster/Handorf,
und wendeten dort die zuvor erworbenen
Kenntnisse in unterschiedlichen Situationen
an. Verletzte Personen mussten aus
den verschiedensten Situationen gerettet
und versorgt werden. Das gesamte Spek-
Weg aus der Gefahrenzone!
do, we adapted to the program and got
involved in action. We really felt that we
were actors in a real life movie, where
everything developed after a certain
script and the actors knew exactly what
they had to do. We realised the difficulty
and the risks the THW members assume
during their actions and we appreciate
the methods, the commitment and the
devotion they prove. I am very happy I
had the chance to participate in such a
camp and I thank the THW for this unique
opportunity.”
trum der Bergungsausbildung wurde hier
bearbeitet: Retten aus Höhen und Tiefen,
das Durchdringen und Überwinden von
Hindernissen und vieles mehr. Während
der gesamten Zeit arbeiteten die jeweils
binationalen Züge gut zusammen und lösten
alle gestellten Aufgaben. Abschlussaufgabe
für alle war das Abdichten eines
Tanks – natürlich nicht, ohne gründlich
nass zu werden… Besonders in der Übungssituation
zeigten die Teilnehmer, dass eine
Zusammenarbeit auch unter schwierigen,
Team International
Bedingungen möglich ist. Im Jahr 2012
soll die äußerst gelungene Veranstaltung
erneut stattfinden.
