From Zermatt, the popular holiday resort <strong>in</strong> the Valais, Europe’s<br />
highest open-air cogwheel railway departs daily every 24 m<strong>in</strong>utes,<br />
climb<strong>in</strong>g to the Gornergrat 9339 m away.<br />
The tra<strong>in</strong> crosses impressive bridges, galleries and tunnels, idyllic<br />
forests and alp<strong>in</strong>e meadows, past rocky gorges and tarns,<br />
