Das höchstdotierte Pferderennen der Welt findet erneut in den Vereinigten
Arabischen Emiraten statt. Am 29. März dieses Jahres laufen die
Schnellsten der Schnellen und messen ihre Kräfte auf der Rennbahn von
Nad Al Sheba in Dubai.
Angelockt vom Ruhm zieht es jährlich die besten Pferde, Jockeys und
Trainer an den Golf. Dieses extravagante und glamouröse Pferderennen ist
jedoch nicht nur Austragungsort sportlicher Aktivitäten. Auch in diesem
Jahr werden sich die Damen der High Society ins Zeug legen – ähnlich wie

Once again the most lucrative horse race in the world takes place in the
United Arab Emirates. On March 29th of this year, the fastest racing
horses will measure their strength on the Nad Al Sheba Race Track in
Dubai.
The best horses, jockeys and trainers are drawn to the Gulf, enticed
by the fame of this race. This extravagant and glamorous horse race is

Erneut findet in Abu Dhabi das spektakuläre Auftaktrennen der „Red Bull
Air Race Worldserie 2008“ statt. Tausende Zuschauer werden die atemberaubenden
Kunststücke der Piloten und den Kampf um den Sieg am 10.
und 11. April an der Strandpromenade bestaunen.
Berüchtigt für flugtechnische Präzession, Schnelligkeit und einen uneingeschränkten
Kampfgeist, treffen sich in diesem Jahr erneut die besten
Piloten der Welt in der emiratischen Hauptstadt. Mit dem kurzen Startzeichen
„Smoke on“ erheben sie sich in ihren bunten Maschinen in den Himmel
und rasen mit rasanten Manövern und Spitzengeschwindigkeiten von
bis zu 400 km/h entlang des vorgegebenen Parcours.
Die Rennsaison dauert alljährlich von April bis November, wobei das
Red-Bull-Team mit den gelisteten Piloten zehn Rennen in insgesamt neun
Ländern austrägt. Neben Wettkämpfen in den VAE, Australien und Portugal
wird in diesem Jahr erstmals auch ein Rennen in Schweden ausgetragen.

Once again Abu Dhabi is host to the spectacular off-beat race, “Red Bull
Air Race World Series 2008”. Thousands of spectators will watch the
breathtaking stunts and daring feats of these pilots in the fight for the
win on April 10th and 11th from the boardwalk.
Famous for their technical flight precision, speed and boundless
competitive spirit, these pilots, the best in the world will meet in the
Emirates capital city. With the short starting signal: “smoke on”, the
colorful flying machines will lift off the ground and race with fast paced
maneuvers and speeds up to 400km/h along the prescribed route.
The racing season lasts from April through November and the Red
Bull team with their registered pilots manages to fly ten races in nine
countries during that time span. Besides races in the UAE, Australia
and Portugal, the team will have a race in Sweden for the first time this
year. ←
