According to them, the only way of the settlement of the global<br />

will be able to maintain the level. This maximum level is called the<br />
economic capacity of biosphere. The fulfillment of this condition is<br />
the criterion of the „sustainable development“. ... The „direction“<br />
of civilization passing to sustainable development, must, of course,<br />
change: it will be incompatible with blind „anthropozentrism“,<br />
„conquering nature“, uncontrolled demographic processes, which<br />
are not ecologically justified.<br />
Es ist daher dringend erforderlich, den traditionell überkommenen<br />
Anthropozentrismus (Mensch als Zentrum des Universums, Herr einer<br />
Natur, die dem Menschen dient) aufzugeben:<br />

Nach dem Muster des geläufigen Ausdrucks „Biosphäre“ ist in der Technikphilosophie<br />
gelegentlich von der „Technosphäre“ die Rede. Die Technosphäre<br />
stellt danach die Hülle der Erde dar, in der die praktische<br />
menschliche Tätigkeit verwirklicht ist – sie ist faktisch die umgewandelte<br />
Biosphäre. Jedoch arbeitet der Mensch nicht nur in der Technosphäre,<br />
er lebt auch in ihr. Diese aber kann sich nicht ohne ihn entwickeln und<br />
degeneriert ohne beständigen menschlichen Eingriff. Die innerhalb der<br />
Biosphäre zweckorientiert von der Menschheit eingerichtete Technikwelt<br />
untersteht dabei allerdings den objektiven, vom menschlichen Wille<br />
unabhängigen Gesetzen der Natur. Der Mensch, der bestimmte praktische<br />
Ziele verfolgt und durch die Schaffung der Technikwelt diese Ziele errei-<br />
