Dortmund, 1978: Die arbeitslosen Freunde
Atze, Lutz und Sulli vertrödeln ihre Tage in
einem trostlosen Hinterhof. Ihr Alltag: Nichtstun,
Langeweile, Isoliertheit. Sprache und
Alltagshandlungen von Atze, Lutz und Sulli
bringen ihre Identifikation mit der bisherigen
Lebens- oder Arbeitswelt zum Ausdruck. In
der Halböffentlichkeit des Hinterhofs führen
sie jedoch ein Schattendasein, das sie von
gesellschaftlicher Partizipation ausschließt.
Dann bricht der Alltag unerwartet auf: die drei
Freunde entführen einen Möbeltransporter.
Weder ein konkreter Ort noch ein romantisches
Fluchtziel bestimmen die Fahrt, ihre
Reise kennt die Rückkehr in die Wirklichkeit.
Dortmund 1978: Atze, Lutz, and Sulli, a group
of unemployed mates, waste their days
hanging around in a dreary backyard. Their
daily experience: idleness, boredom, isolation.
Atze, Lutz, and Sulli’s language and their
daily rituals reflect their experiences vis à vis
the working world and their lives in general.
In the semi-public realm of the backyard,
they lead a shadowy existence that excludes
them from being part of regular society.
Then their lives suddenly change: the three
friends hijack a removal van. They don’t have
a specific goal or romantic destination; rather,
their journey marks their return to the
real world.
