The start-up of the newly completed expansion
phase of the wastewater treatment
plant will lead to a perceptible improvement
in environmental conditions
Die Inbetriebnahme der neuen Ausbaustufe
der Abwasserreinigungsanlage bedeutet
eine spürbare Verbesserung für die Umwelt
per ton of steam. After all, we are talking about a total capacity of
90 tons per hour,” Saleel Nayak says.
Lenzing’s chemical recovery expertise benefits the environment
Lenzing’s environmental leadership is ultimately based on years of
know-how operating sophisticated closed loop processes and recovery
plants. A technological milestone achieved at Lenzing’s main
factory was also implemented at the Purwakarta plant in May of this
year, namely a Supersorbon facility to recover carbon disulfide from
the waste gases arising from fiber manufacturing.
“Our colleagues at Lenzing have been enthusiastically supporting
the implementation of the project, enabling us to maximize the recovery
results,” says Günther Krohn in commenting on the good
cooperation across continents.
Perceptible improvement
The big environmental bonus is that a greater level of chemical
recovery means less pollution to the atmosphere as well as to the
environment. The remarkable reduction of carbon disulfide used
in the process provides an economic benefit as well. Furthermore,
the newly installed air exhaust, supporting the Supersorbon facility,
increases the total volume of extracted air which in turn results
in a perceptible improvement of air quality in and around the SPV
plant.
von 90 to pro Stunde“, sagt Saleel Nayak.
Folge hatte.
