++ADAM PROFESSIONAL AUDIO+ + + + ADAM PROFESSIONAL AUDIO State of the ART! ADAM Studio Monitors are one of the fi nest audio reference monitors available today. ADAM’s proprietary ART transducers overcome many of the core problems (e.g., little impedance, bad dispersion, low effi ciency, etc) of conventional technologies. New X-ART Tweeter The new X-ART (‘X’ for eXtended frequency response) tweeter’s fundamental principle is the very same as ART but with a 4dB higher effi ciency, a 3dB higher maximum sound pressure level, and an increase in frequency response up to 50kHz. The New SX-Series All models of the brand new SX-Series feature the X-ART tweeter. The SX-Series is based on the highly acclaimed S-Series. However, it is not a simple revision of existing models but a fundamental transformation with no details having been overlooked, and every sound crucial aspect has been evaluated. All transducers, drivers, and electronics have been redesigned. The result is much more than an improvement, it is a quantum leap in professional monitoring. New A/B Amplifi er The newly designed broadband A/B amplifi er has been developed by ADAM to perfectly match the needs and capabilities of the X-ART tweeter. It shows ultra low distortion fi gures together with an excellent damping factor. An internal bandwidth of more than 1MHz is externally limited so that 10 ADAM PROFESSIONAL AUDIO the unit delivers an ultra wide response up to 300kHz. With nothing limiting the talents of the X-ART tweeter, the monitor has unsurpassed clarity and openness, which will please, amaze, and thrill even the most experienced professional ear. New HexaCone – Woofers HexaCone, as used in ADAM’s SX-Series, is far more rigid than paper, polypropylene, or aluminum devices of similar dimensions. Due to this rigidity, break up resonances in the diaphragm cone are prevented. The woofers in all models of the SX- Series are designed with larger and longer voice coils that deliver more linear excursion for higher SPL max. values. A stronger magnetic structure is added as well for an optimum in effi ciency and accuracy. All models of the SX-Series use PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) for both the amp and the power supply section of all woofers/ subwoofers combined with state of the art input and fi lter sections to achieve the best in multi-channel active studio monitoring. New, Highly Sophisticated Control Panels ADAM has developed an innovative front panel with six sophisticated controls. Input sensitivity is handled by two controls. One control allows for coarse settings (-20dB to +8dB), while the second is used for fi ne-tuning in 0.5dB steps, ranging from -1.5dB to 2dB. There are two controls for the lower frequencies. desirable in popular music. The second is a shelf fi lter that allows the engineer to alter the frequencies below 150Hz. High frequencies can also be adjusted by two different controls. The fi rst alters the high frequency volume (-2dB to +2dB), while the second is a shelf fi lter for frequencies above 6kHz. Both the high and low shelf fi lters can raise or lower ±4dB progressively within their frequency band. A7: The Best-Reviewed Monitor Worldwide? The A7 is an active two way nearfi eld monitor matching the ART tweeter with a state of the art 6.5“ woofer that introduces a new cone material (Rohacell/carbon fi bre) which combines high rigidity and high internal damping with low weight, resulting in an extremely accurate monitor with all the clarity, detail, and spectacular imaging traditionally associated with the ADAM name. The A7 is powered by two 50W amplifi ers (one per driver).
