KRK-10s – More Bottom For Rokit, VXT
The KRK-10s’ subwoofer complements the
Rokit and VXT monitors in both styling and
performance. The 10” glass-aramid driver
and high power amplifi er effectively extend
the frequency response of any monitoring
system down to 35Hz. The KRK-10s has a
level control, phase switch, and variable
low-pass fi lter, and also contains the full
complement of input options for easy
interfacing with any KRK monitor.
KRK Exposé E8B
The fl agship of the KRK monitor line,
the E8B brings a level of sonic detail and
accuracy to professional studios around
the world. In both sound and presence,
the E8B projects a ‘no expenses spared’
image. And one listen will prove

The E8B’s curved front baffl e and wide
radius edges reduce the diffraction effects
for better imaging, while its non-parallel,
internal walls help reduce chances of
standing waves inside the cabinet.
The thinnest point in the construction of
the cabinet walls is one inch, and the size
and heft of the enclosure gives the E8B a
solid, almost monolithic quality. The E8B
uses two discrete, 120-watt RMS Class A/
AB power amplifi ers. Its custom-designed
HF tweeter is made of AlBeMet, a
composite material comprised of beryllium

KRK Design Philosophy Spells Success
There are several design elements
that are shared across KRK’s monitors.
KRKs are easy to spot in recording
studios around the world, thanks to their
trademark yellow woofers. KRK products
have distinctive enclosures, designed
to minimise standing waves as well as
to create a sleek look. All cabinet edges
and port openings are heavily radiused
to reduce diffraction, which results in
improved detail and stereo imaging.
KRK monitors also use slotted ports in
the front of the cabinets (as opposed to
the more common round port) to reduce
air pressure inside the enclosure and to
provide a more accurate representation
of bass frequencies. Inside the box, KRKs
feature a bi-amplifi er design consisting of
audiophile-grade components, and certain
models contain limiter circuits designed to
mitigate the negative effects of overdriving
the amplifi er or transducers.
