1. Introduction ; Basic concepts, Methods of vibration analysis, Types of vibration,<br />
Periodic &Harmonic vibrations .<br />
2. undamped free vibrations, damped free vibrations and damped <strong>for</strong>ce vibrations of<br />
single degree of freedom system,vibration isolation transmissibility.vibration<br />
measuring instruments.<br />
3.Two degrees of Freedom systems:<br />
a) principal modes of vibrations, natural frequencies, amplitude ratio, <strong>for</strong>ced<br />
harmonic vibration .combined rectilinear & angular modes.<br />

b) Application; Vibration absorber - principle, centrifugal pendulum vibration<br />
absorber, torsional vibration damper, untuned viscous damper, dry friction<br />
