Identification marking<br />
Each rope is supplied with a metallic label which<br />
specifies:<br />
• manufacturer logotype<br />
• rope number according to manufacturer<br />
enumeration system<br />
• rope design letters;<br />
• rope (or ropes cracker line) length, starting from<br />
<strong>the</strong> drum neck, m;<br />
• gross weight, kg;<br />
• rope manufacture date.<br />
Packing<br />
Ropes are wound on wooden drums to GOST 11127-78,<br />
or on metallic drums, and on return drums in<br />
predefined order, or wound in hanks.<br />
Hank overall dimensions:<br />
• Outer diameter – not exceeding 1200 mm,<br />
• Height – not exceeding 800 mm,<br />
• Inner diameter should not exceed 15 nominal<br />
rope diameters.<br />
Hank neck diameter – not less than 15 nominal rope<br />
diameters. Hank edge overhangs <strong>the</strong> outer layer of<br />
<strong>the</strong> wound rope on not less than 2 nominal rope<br />
diameters (with a nominal diameter not exceeding<br />
25 mm) and on 500 mm in case <strong>the</strong> nominal diameter<br />
exceeds 25 mm.<br />
Rope ends are fastened tightly. The outside end is<br />
tied with a fibre core to GOST 5269-93 or o<strong>the</strong>r<br />
reference documentation, or with a wire to GOST<br />
3282-74 or o<strong>the</strong>r reference documentation, or with a<br />

strand, or rope or band to GOST 3560-73, and is<br />
fastened to <strong>the</strong> inner side of <strong>the</strong> hank stock.<br />
Ropes<br />
The label is fixed tightly on a drum’s cheek or a rope’s<br />
hank. When winded on metal drum, <strong>the</strong> label can be<br />
fixed to <strong>the</strong> rope’s end. Transportation marking –<br />
GOST 1) 14192-96.<br />
On <strong>the</strong> customer’s demand, hanks of cargo & human<br />
lifting applications are boarded, with a maximum gap<br />
between boards of 50 mm, or <strong>the</strong> rope is wrapped<br />
with a polymer film to GOST 10354-82 or o<strong>the</strong>r<br />
reference documentation, or with a waterproof paper<br />
to GOST 8828-89 or GOST 515-77.<br />
The rope wound in a hank must be firmly tied with a<br />
soft wire to GOST 3282-74 or o<strong>the</strong>r reference documentation,<br />
or with a strand or band to GOST 3560-73<br />
or o<strong>the</strong>r reference documentation, not less than in 4<br />
points evenly set on <strong>the</strong> circle.<br />
Ropes dispatched to <strong>the</strong> far north and regions with<br />
difficult access, as well as ropes shipped by sea,<br />
are delivered in special packing to GOST 15846-79.<br />
LK-R – wires in a strand are in linear contact, outer layer wires are of two diameters;<br />
LK-O – wires in a strand are in linear contact, outer layer wires are of <strong>the</strong> same diameter;<br />
LK-Z – wires in a strand are in linear contact, wires are revolved to <strong>the</strong> right;<br />
TK – wires in a strand are in punctual contact;<br />
TLK-O – wires in a strand are in linear and punctual contact, outer layer wires are of <strong>the</strong> same diameter.<br />
