To drive a motorcoach in the State of Virginia, you must register with the Virginia Department
of Motor Vehicles. There is a one-time $50.00 application fee, plus a $3.00 Operating Authority
Registration fee per vehicle, per year and a $3.00 fee for duplicate certificates.

SPECIAL NOTE
The National Park Service (Colonial National
Historical Park) requires a permit for
commercial vehicles on the Colonial Parkway,
part of the Colonial National Historical Park.
A one-day permit ($3.00) is available at
Historic Jamestowne or Yorktown Battlefield
Visitors Center. Annual permits are also
available. Student educational groups may
qualify for a waiver. Please call 757-229-1282
