Highlights I The Lodge presents the ambience of a southern family home — furnishings are inspired by
art from the nearby Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum. One of the two original hotels envisioned
by John D. Rockefeller, the property has now matured to comprise eight buildings, interconnected by
sheltered, brick-paved walkways. The Williamsburg Lodge features 323 guest rooms with either two
Queen beds or one King bed. Some of the King rooms have sleep sofas as well. Breezeways connect
the five guesthouses with the main building and conference center. Nonsmoking and handicapped
accessible rooms are available. The on-site restaurant features regionally inspired American cuisine. The
Lodge, noted for traditional southern hospitality, gracious service and comfortable accommodations,
is adjacent to the Historic Area and a short stroll from Merchants Square, the area’s premier shopping
venue. In total, guests of the Williamsburg Lodge have more than 50 shops and 20 restaurants to
choose from — truly something for everyone. The Lodge is conveniently located at one of the stops
for the complimentary shuttle, which provides easy access around the perimeter of the Historic Area,
Merchants Square, the Art Museums and the Visitor Center. The conference center provides 45,000
square feet of flexible meeting space, with 28 versatile function rooms.
Meals I The Williamsburg Lodge Restaurant serves American cuisine with contemporary southern
and Chesapeake influences. Sample regional specialties such as buttermilk-fried oysters, peppercorncrusted
beef tenderloin and Surry County shrimp and grits with our “Virginia Experience” dinner menu.
