CREATING PICTURE BOOKS [7321]
In this new creative writing camp, campers will learn the basics of
fiction writing, explore different illustration techniques, and be
introduced to a wide variety of classic and modern stories using
illustrations. By the end of the week, each student will have
completed at least one picture book in entirety. Most supplies are
included, but campers need to bring a notebook the first day of

SUPER SITTERS “PLUS” CAMP (7324)
Prepare for those summer babysitting jobs! In addition to regular
Super Sitter training, campers will have the opportunity of handson
child care experience and be trained in infant and child CPR. A
special one-hour pool safety class is also included. Baby-sitter’s
resource book, first aid manual, CPR books and certification
included. YMCA ID card is awarded at the completion of this course

FLAG FOOTBALL (7505)
Fun and football are the focus of this non-contact form of football.
Cleats, mouthpiece and sneakers needed. Campers will learn skills
and participate in semi-formal games and drills in the morning.
Campers will play one day vs. other Y of Delaware Flag Football
camps. Instruction takes place from 9 am-12 pm. Campers
participate in afternoon camp activities such as recreational swim,
games and nature walks. Campers need lunch, water bottle, swim
suit, towel and sunscreen each day and have a cookout on Friday

ICE SKATING CAMP (7527)
Campers are taken by bus to Ice Works Skating Complex for
instruction on the basic fundamentals of ice skating. Lessons
are approximately one hour followed by free skate. Campers
need layers of clothing such as gloves, sweat pants and sweat
shirts to stay warm at the rink. For a full day option add
Cheerleading Camp in the afternoon. For more information,

CHEERLEADING CAMP (7502)
Campers receive hands-on instruction from former cheerleaders
on basic and individual skills involved in cheerleading.
Comfortable sneakers and clothing will be needed. For full day

OUTDOOR SKILLS CAMP (7345)
A camp designed to be fun, educational, and challenging.
Do you love the outdoors? Do you have what it takes to be
a “survivor”? Learn traditional outdoor survival skills such
as plant identification, constructing a shelter, building a
campfire, animal tracking and orienteering. Then use your
new skills during an overnight campout. For more information,
