SPECIALTY CAMPS<br />

COMPLETED K-9TH GRADES<br />

GOLF CAMP (7509)<br />

Campers are transported to <strong>the</strong> Eric MacCluen Golf Academy<br />

located at Applecross Country Club to receive instruction and work<br />

on <strong>the</strong> basic swing, rules and etiquette <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> game. Advanced<br />

campers will work on different types <strong>of</strong> shots. Campers will play <strong>the</strong><br />

course when available. The academy does have equipment for<br />

campers to use but if campers have golf equipment, <strong>the</strong>y should<br />

bring it with <strong>the</strong>m. We will keep <strong>the</strong>ir equipment at camp during <strong>the</strong><br />

week. Campers should dress in proper golf attire each day (walking<br />

shorts, collared shirt or golf outfit for girls). Campers return to <strong>the</strong><br />

Hanby Outdoor Center around 2:00 pm and join camp activities.<br />

Cookout lunch on Friday. Campers need lunch, water bottle, towel,<br />

GIRLS ONLY SPORTS CAMP (7508)<br />

A sports camp specially designed for girls to expose <strong>the</strong>m to<br />

different sports and work on building self confidence and good<br />

nutrition. Sports may include basketball, ice skating, field hockey,<br />

lacrosse, tennis, golf, cross country, volleyball, flag football, s<strong>of</strong>tball,<br />

track and field, cheerleading, dance, dodge ball and cross country.<br />

On Friday, <strong>the</strong> girls will be treated to pedicures at a local salon.<br />

Campers also take part in traditional day camp activities such as<br />

recreational swim, camp games, nature walks and cookout on<br />

Friday. Parents will be notified <strong>of</strong> trip schedules before <strong>the</strong> start <strong>of</strong><br />

camp. Campers need lunch, water bottle, swim suit, towel and<br />

MINIATURE ROOM DESIGN CAMP (7332)<br />

A camp for boys and girls! Campers learn design and<br />

decorating techniques that can be helpful in real life situations<br />

as you measure and design in miniature. Work with fabric, paint,<br />

wallpaper and assorted recycled items to cover walls, floors and<br />

make furniture. Supplies included but you will be asked to collect<br />

interesting recycled items to make furniture and accessories. For<br />

SESSION 9: AUGUST 6 - 10 SESSION 10: AUGUST 15 – 19<br />

ALL SPORTS CAMP (7501)<br />

Campers take trips 4 out <strong>of</strong> 5 days to ice/roller skating rinks,<br />

arena/ballpark tours, golf driving ranges, batting cages, bowling<br />

alleys, baseball games and o<strong>the</strong>r fun places. Campers also take part<br />

in traditional day camp activities such as recreational swim, camp<br />

games, nature walks and cookout on Friday. Campers should bring<br />

appropriate athletic equipment depending on <strong>the</strong> trip for that day.<br />

Parents will be notified <strong>of</strong> trip schedules before <strong>the</strong> start <strong>of</strong> camp.<br />

Campers need a water bottle, lunch, sun screen, towel and swim<br />
