SPECIALTY CAMPS<br />
COMPLETED K-8TH GRADES<br />
BOYS LACROSSE (7506)<br />
Hands-on instruction on basic skills and fundamentals <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> game<br />
through drills and semi-formal games. Campers should bring all<br />
equipment needed: gloves, helmet, stick, elbow pads, mouthpiece,<br />
shoulder pads, sneakers and cleats. The Y can provide sticks if<br />
needed. Instruction takes place from 9:00 to 12:00. Thursday,<br />
campers will participate in games with o<strong>the</strong>r Ys. In <strong>the</strong> afternoon,<br />
campers participate in traditional day camp activities such as<br />
recreational swim, games, nature walks and cookout on Friday.<br />
Campers need lunch, water bottle, swim suit, towel, and sun screen<br />

CIRCUS CAMP (7377)<br />
Run away to <strong>the</strong> circus at <strong>the</strong> Brandywine Y. Circus <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Kids<br />
returns to teach campers circus arts with a special mix <strong>of</strong> learning,<br />
exercise, character building and just plain fun. Auditions start on<br />
Monday at 9:00 am. The week is scheduled around <strong>the</strong> rehearsal<br />
schedule. Schedule is posted Tuesday morning. Some campers may<br />
have to practice until 6:00 p.m. The Y will provide care for <strong>the</strong> acts<br />
that practice after 4:00 p.m. Campers will perform <strong>the</strong>ir amazing<br />
acts for family and friends Thursday evening at 7:00 pm and Friday<br />
morning. Tickets are $5.00. Campers need lunch, water bottle, and<br />

SESSION 6: JULY 16-JULY 20 SESSION 7: JULY 23-JULY 27<br />
GOLF CAMP (7509)<br />
Campers are transported to <strong>the</strong> Eric MacCluen Golf Academy<br />
located at Applecross Country Club to receive instruction and work<br />
on <strong>the</strong> basic swing, rules and etiquette <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> game. Advanced<br />
campers will work on different types <strong>of</strong> shots. Campers will play<br />
<strong>the</strong> course when available. The academy does have equipment for<br />
campers to use but if campers have golf equipment, <strong>the</strong>y should<br />
bring it with <strong>the</strong>m. We will keep <strong>the</strong>ir equipment at camp during<br />
<strong>the</strong> week. Campers should dress in proper golf attire each day<br />
(walking shorts, collared shirt or golf outfit for girls). Campers<br />
return to <strong>the</strong> Hanby Outdoor Center around 2:00 pm and join<br />
camp activities. Cookout lunch on Friday. Campers need lunch,<br />
water bottle, towel, swim suit, and sun screen daily. For more<br />

INSTRUCTIONAL BOWLING CAMP (7526)<br />
Campers travel by bus to First State Lanes each morning to learn<br />
<strong>the</strong> basic fundamentals <strong>of</strong> bowling from certified bowling<br />
instructors. Campers will bowl a game after <strong>the</strong>ir lesson to practice<br />
<strong>the</strong>ir skills. For a full day option add Karate Camp in <strong>the</strong> afternoon.<br />
