Camp
Bus transportation is provided ONLY to the HANBY OUTDOOR CENTER. Campers using AM/PM CARE at the Brandywine Y will be
transported to or from the Hanby Outdoor Center for their camp day. THERE IS NO MID-DAY TRANSPORTATION.
PREVIOUS TO BOARDING
Campers should arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the stop time listed and conduct themselves in a safe manner while waiting.
Please respect the property rights of people residing near the bus stop.
Wait until the bus comes to a complete stop before entering the bus.
The bus counselor will check-in all campers on the bus.
PARENTS
Campers who are not registered will not be permitted on the bus. Please wait at the bus stop with your camper until the bus arrives.
Campers 7 yrs old and under must have an adult/parent meet them at the stop. If your child does not get off the bus, please call the camp
office, 475-0700 and we will make arrangements for pickup. The Y cannot be responsible for campers before the bus picks them up or
after they are dropped off. If there is any question about how your camper is to go home, he/she will remain at the Hanby Outdoor Center
and you will be notified to pick him/her up there.
WHILE ON THE BUS
The driver of the bus has complete authority while transporting campers. If behavior problems repeatedly occur or become severe, the
bus driver will confer with the camp director in the event that behavior warrants suspension or revocation of riding privileges.
• Campers must obey the driver and bus counselor promptly.
• Loud laughter, talking and confusion divert the driver’s attention and may result in a serious accident.
• Remain in your seat while the bus is in motion. Keep hands, head and arms inside the bus at all times.
• Keep the aisle clear.
• Food and beverages are not permitted.
• Do not throw anything in, out or around the bus.
• Scuffling, fighting, touching others and profane or indecent language is strictly forbidden.
• Campers shall not leave the bus without the consent of the bus counselor or driver.
• No animals or dangerous instruments are permitted on the bus.
FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE REGULATIONS COULD RESULT IN LOSS OF BUS PRIVILEGES.
