Anthony Dudek<br />
Anthony has 18 years of experience working with<br />
AutoCAD ® and all Autodesk ® MCAD products. He<br />
has been affiliated with the ATC ® network and the<br />
dealer channel as an engineering consultant and<br />
instructor in the Chicago area, where his main<br />
focus has been Moraine Valley ATC. He is currently<br />
working on permanent contract as project<br />
manager at BP Amoco. In addition, he has<br />
co-authored a popular college textbook on<br />
Autodesk ® Mechanical Desktop ® and Autodesk<br />
Inventor ® with Tom Short—also a veteran AU<br />
Speaker. Anthony is pleased to be presenting for<br />
a ninth year at Autodesk University ® .<br />
Brian Ekins<br />
Brian is a software engineer at Autodesk serving,<br />
for the past 4 years, as the API product designer<br />
for Autodesk Inventor ® .Brian has worked exclusively<br />
in the CAD industry for the past 20 years.<br />
He has designed the APIs for other CAD applications.<br />
He has also consulted with customers and<br />
provided training and custom programming<br />
services to help resolve their problems.<br />
Chris Erpelding<br />
Chris is director of operations of the<br />
Implementation Services team at KEMA<br />
Consulting. His experience spans more than 17<br />
years in the AM/FM/GIS industry. He has<br />
developed software solutions for numerous<br />
telecommunications companies, electric and gas<br />
utilities, and municipalities. At KEMA Consulting,<br />
Chris and his team specialize in implementing<br />
and <strong>integr</strong>ating enterprise Geographic<br />
Information Systems (GIS), Outage Management<br />
Systems (OMS), Work Management Systems<br />
(WMS), Mobile Dispatch, Enterprise Resource<br />
Planning (ERP), Enterprise Application Integration<br />
(EAI), and other technologies.<br />
dave espinoza-aguilar<br />
As a consultant in CAD and multimedia for 17<br />
years, dave trains professionals in architectural<br />
and engineering firms on the general use,<br />
customization, and advanced programming of<br />
Autodesk ® design and visualization software. He<br />
has authored facilities management applications<br />
for several companies using ObjectARX ® ,VBA,<br />
AutoLISP ® , and MAXScript technologies. dave also<br />
creates graphics applications and animations for<br />
Toxic Frog Multimedia and has co-authored several<br />
books including NRP’s Inside 3D Studio MAX ®<br />
series. dave is a past president of AUGI ® (1996)<br />
and continues to serve as manager of the online<br />
training program (ATP).<br />
Bill Fane, P.E.<br />
An AutoCAD ® software user since 1986, Bill<br />
currently teaches AutoCAD and mechanical<br />
design at the British Columbia Institute of<br />
Technology and Autodesk ® Mechanical Desktop ®<br />
and Autodesk Inventor ® at the Institute’s Training<br />
Center. He has written “The Learning Curve”<br />
column for CADalyst magazine since 1986, and<br />
writes about Mechanical Desktop and Autodesk<br />
Inventor for Autodesk’s Point A Toplines newsletter.<br />

Jim Farley<br />
Jim leads Oracle’s location-based initiatives in<br />
mobile computing and Telematics, Internet-hosted<br />
services, and platform <strong>integr</strong>ation across Oracle’s<br />
eBusiness suite of applications. Prior to joining<br />
Oracle, Farley served as technical director of the<br />
Center for Advanced Spatial Technologies and<br />
chief technology officer of the Fulbright College<br />
of Arts and Sciences at the University of<br />
Arkansas. Farley is a founder of the OpenGIS<br />
Consortium and he received a Smithsonian<br />
Laureate in 1999 for his work in distributed spatial<br />
data warehousing for state and local government.<br />
Richard Feineis<br />
Rick has 16 years of CAD experience and has<br />
worked as a senior consultant and instructor in<br />
the Autodesk ® VAR channel for more than 13<br />
years. His expertise in CAD and Electronic<br />
Document Management (EDM) enables him to<br />
help clients with needs analysis, custom implementation,<br />
and training on numerous AutoCAD ® -<br />
based applications. As an Autodesk ® Authorized<br />
Instructor, Rick has trained several thousand<br />
students on how to use CAD systems. He has also<br />
been a vice president and president of his local<br />
AutoCAD user group.<br />
Adam Ferris<br />
Adam is an Autodesk ® Certified Instructor with 10<br />
years of experience at Wentworth Institute of<br />
Technology in Boston. He teaches all professional<br />
level AutoCAD ® classes as well as Autodesk ® VIZ,<br />
Autodesk Inventor ® , and Autodesk ® Revit ® . In<br />
addition to being an educator, Adam also owns<br />
and operates an AutoCAD consulting firm to aid<br />
local area businesses in efficient AutoCAD<br />
configurations and management. He has a<br />
bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University.<br />
Ellen Finkelstein<br />
Ellen is the author of AutoCAD ® 2004 Bible (4th<br />
edition), AutoCAD ® 2000 for Dummies Quick<br />
Reference, and other books on AutoCAD. She<br />
writes a monthly article on AutoCAD for Point A<br />
Toplines.She has been using AutoCAD since 1986<br />
and teaching it since 1989.<br />
David Firman<br />
David received an M.A. in Applied Sciences from<br />
Simon Fraser University and won the prestigious<br />
Commonwealth Scholarship for entry into the<br />
Ph.D. program in Artificial Intelligence at<br />
Westminster University in London, U.K. He has<br />
been conducting usability studies for Pacific<br />
Alliance Technologies in Vancouver, British<br />
Columbia, for several years and participates in<br />
the company’s development and management<br />
teams. His primary interest is in applying design<br />
theories to the development of technical and<br />
socio-technical environments for web-based<br />
delivery of spatial data.<br />
Lay Christopher Fox<br />
Chris works as an architectural drafter, rendering<br />
specialist, and educator in western New York<br />
state. He is president of ArchImage CAD Services<br />
Inc., and provides drafting, rendering, design, and<br />
consulting services to homeowners, designers,<br />
architectural firms, and institutions across the<br />
United States. He is also adjunct professor at RIT,<br />
where he teaches AutoCAD ® in the Civil<br />
Engineering Department. Chris is the current<br />
president and longtime officer of the Rochester<br />
Area AutoCAD Users Group.<br />
Peter Funk<br />
Peter has taught customization of Autodesk ®<br />
Architectural Desktop to developer partners<br />
around the world. He has also worked as a<br />
programmer for both Autodesk and Softdesk.<br />
He currently works to provide implementation<br />
and customization support to customers in the<br />
building industry.<br />
Byron Funnell<br />
Byron earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at<br />
Purdue University and worked as a mechanical<br />
engineer and CAD manager for several years. He<br />
began using AutoCAD ® in 1985, and Autodesk ®<br />
Mechanical Desktop ® since its inception. He has<br />
been a trainer and consultant of Autodesk ®<br />
products since 1986. In 1993, Byron opened The<br />
CADMaker in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to provide<br />
training, customization, consulting, and design<br />
services to local companies. For the past several<br />
years, Byron has served as president and<br />
webmaster of D.R.A.W., the local user group in<br />
northeast Indiana.<br />
Michael Geyer<br />
Michael is an application engineer at Autodesk.<br />
He was a member of the Autodesk Inventor ®<br />
development team from 1998 to 2001. Prior to<br />
joining Autodesk, Michael worked for several<br />
well-known companies including Caterpillar,<br />
Kaiser Aluminum, and Applied Cognitive<br />
Sciences. He holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical<br />
Engineering.<br />
John W. Gibb<br />
A senior applications designer, consultant, and<br />
technical advisor, John owns and operates<br />
Paladin. He is an Autodesk ® Registered<br />
Author/Publisher and Developer, the author of<br />
many books including Teach Yourself AutoCAD ® for<br />
Windows, AutoCAD ® 3D, the AutoLISP ®<br />
Programmer’s Toolbox, Visual Basic Applications in<br />
AutoCAD ® 2000, and a contributor to AutoCAD ®<br />
2002: Professional. He is a former vice-president of<br />
the Greater Chicago AutoCAD Users’ Group and<br />
former president and board member of AUGI ® .<br />
John is also an instructor for Moraine Valley ATC<br />
and CAD Cruise.
