Botzwana T<strong>our</strong>ism<br />

The Botswana High Commission will for the first time exhibit its<br />
different t<strong>our</strong>ism products <strong>at</strong> this year’s <strong>Namibia</strong> T<strong>our</strong>ism Expo.<br />
Botswana has diverse cultures and n<strong>at</strong>ure. The country is also<br />
known for peace and tranquility, diamonds and beef. Botswana<br />
has good transport infrastructure and is accessible by rail, road and<br />
air. World class accommod<strong>at</strong>ion and camping sites are plenty.<br />
Botswana T<strong>our</strong>ism Product consists of:<br />
1. Wildlife and Wilderness- these includes a wide variety of wild<br />
animals, flora and fauna. The Lion, Elephant, Cheetah, Hippo and<br />
Rhino. Some of Botswana famous t<strong>our</strong>ist destin<strong>at</strong>ions are the biggest<br />
inland delta in the world, the Okavango Delta, Chobe N<strong>at</strong>ional<br />
Park, Moremi Game Reserve, Central Kalahari Game Reserve, Tuli<br />
Block and the Kalahari Transfrontier Park.<br />
2. Cultural T<strong>our</strong>ism- Botswana holds annual cultural festivals to<br />
showcase its different cultures. The famous of the annual festival is<br />
the world renowned Kuru Dance festival, which showcases ancient<br />
San culture and dance. The ancient San rock paintings are found <strong>at</strong><br />
the world heritage site of Tsodilo Hills.<br />
3. Sports T<strong>our</strong>ism- Every June, Botswana hosts the annual 1000<br />
km Kalahari Desert Race organized by the 4x4 Club of SA. The race includes<br />
motor racing, quad and two wheel motorbike races.<br />
4. Wild Filming- Most wildlife filmmakers do their sets in Botswana.<br />
One of the famous wildlife movies “Roar Lions of the Kalahari” was<br />
shot in Botswana.<br />
5. Golfing –Botswana has various Golf facilities such as Phakalane<br />
Golf Resort, Cresta Mowana Golf Club ( where you are sure to meet<br />
elephants and warthogs in the greens.)<br />
At the <strong>Namibia</strong> T<strong>our</strong>ism Expo Botswana High Commission will showcase<br />
crafts, pictures, DVDs and Music of Botswana’s Different T<strong>our</strong>ism<br />
Products. They will also distribute brochures of different t<strong>our</strong>ism facilities<br />
and establishments.<br />
