Description
The direct discharged of waste water often caused
environmental problems. The traditional ways for
wastewater treatment has disadvantages from the economical
and environmental perspectives.
In this invention, Ultrasonic Assisted Membrane Anaerobic
System (UAMAS) was designed and used to treat the
industrial wastewater, such as Palm Oil Mill Effluent
(POME), sewage sludge and slaughter house waste.
The new system is an alternative and cost effective method
to treat high strength waste water. This system consists of a
feed tank, four tubular cross flow ultra-filtration membranes
(CUF) in a sintered stainless steel holder connected to an
ultrasonic device, centrifugal pumps and a 50 L anaerobic
digester.
