The Chief Justice said:
“I have the honor to announce, on behalf of the Court, that the October
2006 Term of the Supreme Court of the United States is now
closed, and the October 2007 Term is now convened.
“Today’s orders of the Court have been duly entered and certified,
and filed with the Clerk, and they will not be otherwise announced.”
Certiorari—Summary Dispositions
No. 06–1264. Peter D. Keisler, Acting Attorney General, Petitioner
v. Hong Yin Gao. On petition for writ of certiorari to the United States
Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Petition for writ of certiorari
granted. Judgment vacated, and case remanded to the United States
Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit for further consideration in
light of Gonzales v. Thomas, 547 U. S. 183 (2006).
No. 06–11085. Jimmy Edward May, Petitioner v. California. On petition
for writ of certiorari to the Court of Appeal of California, Fifth
Appellate District. Motion of petitioner for leave to proceed in forma
pauperis and petition for writ of certiorari granted. Judgment vacated,
and case remanded to the Court of Appeal of California, Fifth Appellate
District, for further consideration in light of Cunningham v. California,
549 U. S. ––– (2007).
No. 06–11312. Isaac Scott Castaneda, Petitioner v. California. On
petition for writ of certiorari to the Court of Appeal of California, Fifth
Appellate District. Motion of petitioner for leave to proceed in forma
pauperis and petition for writ of certiorari granted. Judgment vacated,
and case remanded to the Court of Appeal of California, Fifth Appellate
District, for further consideration in light of Cunningham v. California,
549 U. S. ––– (2007).

America. On petition for writ of certiorari to the United States Court
of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Motion of petitioner for leave to proceed
