Baker, et al. On writ of certiorari to the United States Court of Appeals
for the Ninth Circuit. Judgment vacated, and case remanded to
the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit to remit punitive
damages award accordingly. Opinion by Justice Souter. Concurring
opinion by Justice Scalia, with whom Justice Thomas joins. Opinion by
Justice Stevens, concurring in part and dissenting in part. Opinion

certiorari to Supreme Court of Louisiana. Judgment upholding capital
sentence reversed. Case remanded to the Supreme Court of Louisiana
for further proceedings not inconsistent with the opinion of this Court.
