Excellent ideas from Pracht since 1953
The success story of our enterprise begins in the year 1953 through the
production of an ISO OVAL luminaire. To meet increasing demand and in
view of the resulting specialisation, the company Alfred Pracht KG was
founded in 1963 by Margarethe and Alfred Pracht.
As a high-quality manufacturer for higher protection class luminaires, the
company was able to expand its core competence and grow confidently.
Through the direct dialogue with our customers and short decisionmaking
channels we now are in a position where we can flexibly adapt
our production to market requirements. In order to maintain this advantage
and meet the requirements of increasing standards, Dr. Friedhelm Pracht
founded the pracht group ® in 1999.
Our quality driven company policy is based on the aspiration as an
independent family company of being able to develop for us and our
customers ever new and higher standards.
Product Responsibility
True recycling management and product responsibility already begins
during the product development phase and integrates the aspect of waste
disposal logistics within the product life cycle. This important aspect is of
great relevance also within the entire pracht group ® .
Besides the rethinking process by consumers who in future view
themselves rather as “users“, a rethinking process by the manufacturers
is also necessary since they are not only “product manufacturers“ but also
the actual “waste producers“. Used products (= waste) are raw materials if
treated as such after their usage period.
Already at the decision-making stages relating to product development,
production and consumption we are taking much more into account waste
as the raw material of tomorrow, so as to ensure a secure future for coming
generations.
Within the pracht group ® the consistent inclusion of product responsibility
within the process of product development comes first. By integrating
the new EU directives WEEE as well as the fulfilment of the product responsibility
in accordance with the foreseeable amendment of the Waste
Management and Recycling Act (KrW-/AbfG) §22, as well as coming into
effect of the EC Waste Framework Directive dated December 20, 2008,
Pracht luminaire systems are developed in full environment awareness. An
important aspect here is the design-wise optimisation of energy efficiency
for Pracht luminaires.
