Border designs<br />

Border design patterns SQ14-1 to SQ14-21 can be<br />

accurately connected to each other with the built-in<br />

marking points.<br />

Example: Connecting border design patterns SQ14-1<br />

and SQ14-2.<br />

z Print template sheets on semi-opaque paperr for<br />

border design patterns SQ14-1 and SQ14-2 by using<br />

<strong>Horizon</strong> Link.<br />

q Template sheet<br />

x Place the template sheet on the fabric and mark the<br />

end points of the centerlines with tailor’s chalk. Draw<br />

centerlines on the fabric.<br />

The horizontal line should be long enough to connect<br />

the next patterns.<br />

w Centerlines<br />

c Set the fabric in the hoop and attach the hoop to the<br />

carriage.<br />

Select border design pattern SQ14-1 and adjust the<br />

hoop position with the jog keys.<br />

Press the start/stop button and a message will appear<br />

asking you to sew the first marking points.<br />

Press the X key to skip sewing them and press the<br />

start/stop button to start sewing.<br />

v When finished sewing the design pattern, a message<br />

for the last 2 marking points will appear.<br />

Press the OK key and press the start/stop button to<br />

sew the last 2 marking points.<br />

e First marking points<br />

r Last marking points<br />

b Remove the hoop from the carriage and remove the<br />

fabric from the hoop.<br />

Place the template sheet on the fabric.<br />

Align the marking points of the sewn pattern and<br />

template sheet.<br />

n Mark the end points of the vertical centerline for the<br />

second pattern.<br />
