Santa Breakfast • All Ages<br />

Bring the entire family for breakfast with Santa. Afterward,<br />

enjoy family entertainment <strong>and</strong> visit with Santa.<br />

Bring your own camera! An adult must accompany<br />

children. Ages 3 to 103 must pay. Children two <strong>and</strong><br />

under are free, but still need to register. No tickets<br />

sold at the door. Register by Dec. 5.<br />

Celebrate Senior Friday Club! Ages 50+<br />

North Jeffco Senior Friday Club has offered social<br />

activities to seniors for over 50 years! At this free celebration<br />

learn about the Club <strong>and</strong> its many opportunities:<br />

bridge, dominoes, bingo, golf, bowling, pinochle,<br />

mahjongg, potlucks, holiday dinners <strong>and</strong> more. Light<br />

refreshments <strong>and</strong> a prize drawing included. The club<br />

fee is $20 per year, payable at Club meetings.<br />

Art for the Young at Heart<br />

Ages 50+<br />

Community artists age 50+ <strong>and</strong> North<br />

Jefferson County area schoolchildren<br />

collaborate on this wonderful annual art<br />

show! The opening reception is Wed.,<br />

Feb. 13 from 4 to 6 pm, with awards<br />

at 5 pm. Viewing hours are Mon.-Thu., 8:15 am-7<br />

pm, <strong>and</strong> Friday, 8:15 am-4 pm. The show is open to<br />

community members age 50+. Adult artists may pick<br />

up registration forms <strong>and</strong> information at the Community<br />

<strong>Recreation</strong> Center. Adult entry fee is $5 <strong>and</strong> you<br />

must register by Feb. 6. The participating schools’ art<br />

instructors select children’s work. Sponsored by the<br />

Scientific <strong>and</strong> Cultural Facilities <strong>District</strong> <strong>and</strong> North<br />

Jefferson County schools.<br />

of humor brings out the royalty in all of us. No matter<br />

your age you still can impact your world <strong>and</strong> Walk<br />

Tiara Tall. Wear or bring a tiara, or a hat that has<br />

special meaning. Lunch precedes the presentation.<br />

60+ Spelling Bee<br />

Here’s a fun way to exercise your mind! Compete<br />

with other spelling whizzes in the 60+ Spelling Bee,<br />

sponsored by the Arvada Press/Mile High News,<br />

Prime Time for Seniors Newspaper <strong>and</strong> Arvada Sterling<br />

House. Prizes <strong>and</strong> refreshments included. This is<br />

a free event, but both contestants <strong>and</strong> spectators must<br />

register by March 2. Contestants must be 60 <strong>and</strong> over.<br />

Sign up soon; space is limited.<br />
