Deiphobus beheld him as he pass'd,<br />

And, fired with hate, a parting<br />

javelin cast:<br />

along,<br />

And pierced Ascalaphus, the brave<br />

and young:<br />

<strong>The</strong> son <strong>of</strong> Mars fell gasping on the<br />

ground,<br />

And gnash'd the dust, all bloody<br />

with his wound.
