As long as Phoebus bore unmoved<br />

the shield,<br />

Sat doubtful conquest hovering o'er<br />

Shouts in their ears, and lightens in<br />

their eyes,<br />

Deep horror seizes every Grecian<br />

So flies a herd <strong>of</strong> oxen, scatter'd<br />
