That iron heart, inflexibly severe;<br />

A lion, not a man, who slaughters<br />

Who hastes to murder with a savage<br />

joy,<br />

Invades around, and breathes but to<br />

destroy!<br />

Shame is not <strong>of</strong> his soul; nor understood,<br />

Still for one loss he rages unresign'd,<br />
