Jao has recently described (Bot. Bull. Acad. Sinica. I, p. loi, 1947) a<br />
new species, M. subpunctata, that closely resembles this species, but the cell<br />
diameters are 5-6.5/1 and the spores are 20-25 /xx 18-25/1.
