retuse angles, 30-38 /x x 30-3S/M, 18-20 /a thick; outer wall finely scrobic-

Jao has recently described (Bot. Bull. Acad. Sinica. I, p. loi, 1947) a
new species, M. subpunctata, that closely resembles this species, but the cell
diameters are 5-6.5/1 and the spores are 20-25 /xx 18-25/1.
