tegevusaja jooksul on nad
lindistanud CDsid Pēteris
Vasksi muusikast selliste
firmamärkide all nagu Ondine ja Wergo ning teinud salvestusi
Läti Raadio stuudios Läti heliloojate uutest teostest.
Orkestri külalisdirigentide nimistusse kuuluvad näiteks
Sigvards Kļava, Andris Veismanis, Kaspars Putniņš, Tõnu
Kaljuste, Juha Kangas, Fabio Mastrangelo ja Sébastien Rouland;
koos on mängitud selliste solistidega nagu Kristīne Blaumane,
Ieva Rūtentāle, Sergejs Jēgers, Kārlis Lācis, Patrick Gallois, Ole
Edvard Antonsen, Muriel Cantoreggi, Ernsts Kovacic ja Roger
Muraro. Nad on samuti esinenud koos Läti Raadio Koori, Riia
Saksofonikvarteti ja bändi Autobuss debesīs’ega.
Orkester koosneb 34 muusikust ja selle kunstiliseks juhiks on
Normunds Šnē.
Symphonietta orchestra Sinfonietta Rīga was established on
July 17th in 2006, so a few days after their concert in Oistrakh
festival they will be celebrating their 3rd anniversary.
Their creative mission statement is to be opened to different
forms of music, ranging from the baroque period to the most
extreme forms of expression presented by contemporary music.
They want to be ready to experiment in both academic and
non-academic musical directions and to be ready to perform as
well in a dinner jacket as in a T-shirt. They want to be tireless in
the quest for new audiences and relentless in maintaining the
highest professional standards!
The orchestra played 23 different programmes and gave
31 concerts during the first concert season. They have given
premieres of 6 new works in 2006/2007 and 6 new works in
2007/2008. During the short time they have recorded CDs of
the music of Pēteris Vasks under the Ondine and Wergo labels,
and recordings of new works by Latvian composers made in
the recording studio of Latvian Radio.
Guest conductors have been Sigvards Kļava, Andris
Veismanis, Kaspars Putniņš, Tõnu Kaljuste, Juha Kangas,
Fabio Mastrangelo, Sébastien Rouland and others. The
orchestra has played with such soloists as Kristīne Blaumane,
Ieva Rūtentāle, Sergejs Jēgers, Kārlis Lācis, Patrick Gallois, Ole
Edvard Antonsen, Muriel Cantoreggi, Ernsts Kovacic, Roger
Muraro and others. They have performed also together with
