3.3 SSO Utility Installation
3.3.1 Downloading
In this section, we explain how to download and install the SSO Authentication Utility on Windows XP, Windows
Vista and Ubuntu Linux, respectively.
There are two methods to install the SSO Authentication Utility:
A system-wide installation: Requires Administrator privileges and installs the SSO Authentication Utility for
all users.
A non-privileged user installation: Can be performed while logged on as a regular user and installs the
SSO Authentication Utility for this user only.
The SSO Utility needs to be downloaded from the aXsGUARD Gatekeeper prior to installation:
1. Log on to the aXsGUARD Gatekeeper as explained in the aXsGUARD Gatekeeper System
Adminstrator How To, which is accessible by clicking on the permanently available Documentation
button in the Administrator Tool.
2. Navigate to Add-ons (see the image below).
3. Click on the appropriate installer for your system (Windows or Linux) to start the download.
4. Save the zip file containing the installer to the location of your choice.
5. Click on Logout.
