ing eighty-three from Springfleld who<br />

came in a special car, attended the<br />

January meeting of the Frisco Em-<br />

ployes' Club of Monett, held at Park<br />

Casino the night of the twenty-flfth.<br />

The meeting consisted 6f a short<br />

business session, a cafeteria luncheon,<br />

short talks. vocal and Instrumental<br />

music and dancing.<br />

J. J. Charles, president of the club.<br />

presided over the business session.<br />

A. T. Brown, chairman of the traffic<br />

committee, read a report of new busi-<br />

ness obtained. William Henry, chair-<br />

man of the membership committee,<br />

reported that the enrollment of this<br />

club Is comprised of between 975 and<br />

1,000 persons, composed of Frisco em-<br />

ployes and members of their families.<br />

Next came the luncheon.<br />

how the Frisco Employes' Clubs move-<br />

ment originated and of its growth.<br />

Demonatrations of old-time flddling<br />

were next on the program and then<br />

C. C. Mills, Springfleld, accident pre-<br />

vention agent, spoke briefly. Skeeter<br />

Palmer, <strong>Springfield</strong>, played piano se-<br />

lections. Miss Marie Campbell, Mo-<br />

nett, sang two pieces, accompanied on<br />

the piano by George Wilhoit, and on<br />

the violin by Miss Helen Bean. Tom-<br />

mie Frazelle, Springfleld, played a vie<br />

lin selection, accompanied on the<br />

piam, by Mr. Palmer. Readings were<br />

presented by Arthur Wilson Gilbert<br />

and Shirley Mustain, both Monett.<br />

The Paramount Four, of Springfleld,<br />

a male quartet, sang selections. The<br />

program was concluded with a bass<br />

solo by R. G. Kaufman. Monett.<br />

Drafting of a constitution and bylaws<br />

was placed under the direction<br />

Talks were delivered by Z. B. Clay-<br />

pool, Springfleld, assistant director of<br />

accident prevention; Harry Harrison,<br />

Springfleld; A. M. Loitzell, Fort<br />

Smith, general agent, and Mrs. J. G.<br />

Weaver, Fort Smith.<br />

Readings, and vocal and instrumen-<br />

tal numbers followed. The enter-<br />

tainers were: J. Kemp Johnson, Miss<br />

Lillian Harlan, Misses Jean and Haz-<br />

el Bresson, Miss Normal Bell Manley<br />

and Miss Lulu Barnhart. After this<br />

program, refreshments were served<br />

and the remainder of the evening was<br />

spent in dancing.<br />

Memphis, Tennessee<br />

The Frisco Employes Club of Mem-<br />

phis held a dance at Dreamland Gar-<br />

dens, January 19.<br />

More than 300 persons, consisting of<br />

employes, relatives and friends, at-<br />

tended. Games were provided for<br />

those who did not dance.<br />

Termha1 employes at Memphis have<br />

been commended by shippers for their<br />

efficiency and courtesy.<br />

Neodesha, Kansas<br />

Nearly one hundred persons attend-<br />

ed the social held by the Frisco Dm-<br />

ployes' Club of Neodesha, the night<br />

of January 26 at the Knights of Pyth-<br />

ias hall. This was the flrst social<br />

held by the club for some time. Many<br />

members of the families of club mem-<br />

bers-attended and employes from Fre-<br />

donia and Cherryvale.<br />

The address of welcome was by H.<br />

M. Cloud, president of the club. He<br />

said that service should be uppermost<br />
