Approxlmatelp 350 persons, Includ- ing eighty-three from Springfleld who came in a special car, attended the January meeting of the Frisco Em- ployes' Club of Monett, held at Park Casino the night of the twenty-flfth. The meeting consisted 6f a short business session, a cafeteria luncheon, short talks. vocal and Instrumental music and dancing. J. J. Charles, president of the club. presided over the business session. A. T. Brown, chairman of the traffic committee, read a report of new busi- ness obtained. William Henry, chair- man of the membership committee, reported that the enrollment of this club Is comprised of between 975 and 1,000 persons, composed of Frisco em- ployes and members of their families. Next came the luncheon. Ed. Saleer. president of the Monett Commercial Club, s p o k e briefly in appreciation of the principles of the Frisco Employes' Club and the value of the organization to Monett. W. L. Huggins, Jr., St. Louls, editor of The Frisco Etnployes' Magaziner told how the Frisco Employes' Clubs move- ment originated and of its growth. Demonatrations of old-time flddling were next on the program and then C. C. Mills, Springfleld, accident pre- vention agent, spoke briefly. Skeeter Palmer, <strong>Springfield</strong>, played piano se- lections. Miss Marie Campbell, Mo- nett, sang two pieces, accompanied on the piano by George Wilhoit, and on the violin by Miss Helen Bean. Tom- mie Frazelle, Springfleld, played a vie lin selection, accompanied on the piam, by Mr. Palmer. Readings were presented by Arthur Wilson Gilbert and Shirley Mustain, both Monett. The Paramount Four, of Springfleld, a male quartet, sang selections. The program was concluded with a bass solo by R. G. Kaufman. Monett. Memphis, Tennessee The Frisco Employes Club of Mem- phis held a dance at Dreamland Gar- dens, January 19. More than 300 persons, consisting of employes, relatives and friends, at- tended.
