and a lot of tree trlmmlng, for thls is<br />
truly a timber country. Some of the<br />
men thlnk they are real woodsmen.<br />

of water to keep the axes cool and<br />
claims he has to walt for the chlps to<br />
fall.<br />

The February fuel meetlng on the<br />

on the 16th. and from rewrts they had<br />
an exceptlonal good attendance and as<br />
Mr. D. L. Forsythe. general road foreman<br />
of equlpment; Mr. J. E. Whalen,<br />
general fuel supervisor; Mr. J. W. MorrI11,<br />
accident preventlon agent, and Mr.<br />
J. R. Scott. general alr brake inspector,<br />

that It was an Interesting meeting and<br />

tables arranged for bridge and bug.<br />
Mrs. Robert Boyd won flrst prize at<br />
brldge, an Italian lace scarf donated<br />
by Mrs. J. G. Weaver; Miss Alma Schaap<br />
second prize, two llnen handkerchiefs<br />
made and donated by Mrs. J. G. Weav-<br />
er, and the consolation prlze was given<br />
to Mrs. Leo W. Grlmes whlch was a<br />
deck of playlng cards donated by the<br />
Palace Drug Store.<br />
The "Bug-" prize was a linen handker-<br />
chief which was given to Mrs. J. 4.<br />
Collins.<br />
Earl Dodd, our big brown-eyed mess-<br />
enger boy, took a twenty mlle ride lnto<br />
the country the other day on hls bl-<br />
cycle. Going, everythlng was lovely.<br />
but on hls way home, after about<br />
twenty-tour hours rain, the roads were<br />
not so good and everrtlme a car came<br />
along Earl had to plck up his blke and<br />
carry it.<br />
We welcome J. R. Wllhoit back to<br />
our fold and hope he will not go astray<br />
again.<br />
