TH3455 The Uniqueness of Christ and the Theology of Religions
Who is Jesus Christ for us today? Today we ask this question more aware than
ever of our religiously plural world. What is the difference Jesus Christ still makes
in such a world? What role does the diversity of religious expression play in the
church’s understanding of Jesus Christ and salvation? How do other religious traditions
view the reality of Jesus Christ? How should Christians view other religious
traditions? What is the relationship of Jesus Christ to debates about the spiritual
life and the nature of religion? The approach of the course is both analytical
and comparative.
