Managing Archives and Revisions Opening a Project’s Archive To open a project’s archive in the Windows interface: With a Project or Sandbox window active, choose Project > Open Project Archive. The project’s archive (either the current project or the master project of the current sandbox) opens and appears in an Archive window. Opening a Member’s Archive To open a project’s archive in the Source Integrity Web Interface: From the Project view, choose Project Commands > Open History View. To open a member’s archive in the Windows interface: 1. Select an archived member in a Sandbox or Project window. 2. Choose Member > Open Member Archive or press +. The member’s archive appears in an Archive window. The title of the Archive window includes the statement (from projname) after the archive file name, where projname is the file name of the sandbox or project the Open Member Archive command was invoked from. This lets you know the archive is “project aware” and will ignore the WorkToArch, ArchivePath, and WorkPath constructs when checking out to, or checking in from working files. 166 Source Integrity Professional Edition
Creating Archives Creating Archives To open an archive directly without a project or sandbox in the Windows interface: 1. Choose File > Open Archive, or click . The Open Archive file browser appears. 2. If the archive you want to open is not in the current directory, use the Drives and Directories boxes to navigate to the proper location. 3. Select one or more archives (or their corresponding working files) and press , or click OK. An Archive window appears for each file. To open a member’s archive in the Source Integrity Web Interface: Select the member in the Project or Sandbox view and choose Member Commands > Open Member View. Archives are usually created when you create a project or add members to a project. However, if you need to create an archive outside the project context, you can do so. Standalone archives (ones that have no projects associated with them) can be added to projects at a later time. Note The Source Integrity Web Interface does not support standalone archives.
