Introducing the Source Integrity Interfaces Installing Additional Browser Plugins Starting the Source Integrity Web Interface 4. Contact the Integrity Server with your browser. Note The Source Integrity Web Interface provided with Source Integrity Professional must always be upgraded when a version is available from the Integrity Server. There is no optional upgrade feature available. When you install the Source Integrity Web Interface, it installs a plugin for each chosen browser on your system at installation time. However, you may also want to use the Source Integrity Web Interface with additional browsers (such as one you installed after the original installation). To install a plugin for one or more additional browsers: 1. Click Start > Programs> MKS Source Integrity Web Interface > Plugin Configuration Utility. The Welcome window appears. 2. Click Next>. The Install Plugin window appears and displays the web browsers the plugin is already installed for. 3. Add or remove a browser from the list by selecting the browser and clicking the Add or Remove buttons. 4. Click Next> to complete the installation of the plugin. To start the Source Integrity Web Interface, start your web browser and browse to the Integrity Server. Your Source Integrity administrator can provide you with its location. A typical URL of the Integrity Server may be of the form http://machine_name.your_domain_name.com:/ If the location you entered is correct and the Integrity Server is configured properly, your browser displays the Integrity Server home page. 50 Source Integrity Professional Edition
The Source Integrity Web Interface On the Integrity Server home page, click Source Integrity. Your browser displays one of the following: If you have already installed the most recent Source Integrity Web Interface client component on your local machine, your browser displays a window that prompts you for a user name and password. After you enter them, your browser displays the Source Integrity Web Interface home page (see “The Source Integrity Web Interface Home Page” on page 52). For convenience, add this page to your list of bookmarks (on Netscape) or favorites (on Internet Explorer). If you have not yet installed the client component, your browser displays a page that allows you to download and install the client component. If the version of the server is newer than your client, the client will still work with the new server. When you want to install the new client, you must first uninstall the old client. On that page, click Source Integrity Web Interface Client Install to download the client install executable, called siwi.exe. Run the executable and follow its instructions. When you have finished installing the client, restart your browser and return to the Source Integrity Web Interface home page. User Guide 51
