FAMILY JACOBSONIIDAE This family is represented in <strong>the</strong> West Indies by Derolathrus sharpi Grouvelle from Guadeloupe, and this or ano<strong>the</strong>r (probably introduced) species occurs in south Florida as well as one in nor<strong>the</strong>rn Florida. The family is probably present in <strong>Cuba</strong>. The adults are so small <strong>the</strong>y are <strong>of</strong>ten overlooked. Adults and larvae occur in litter or under bark. FAMILY DERODONTIDAE This family is restricted to <strong>the</strong> temperate parts <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> nor<strong>the</strong>rn and sou<strong>the</strong>rn hemispheres.
