2011: Ruelas appeared in all 11 games for the <strong>Javelina</strong>s. He was on special teams and<br />

was a backup linebacker. He had two tackles against Abilene Christian. 2010: Ruelas redshirted<br />

his first year at <strong>Texas</strong> A&M-<strong>Kingsville</strong>. High School: Ruelas earned second team<br />

All-Victoria Advocate and first team TAPPS Division II All-District 3 honors at St. Joseph HS<br />

as a senior. He earned TAPPS Division II All-State honors after rushing for 1,353 yards and<br />

15 touchdowns. He led St. Joseph to three state playoff appearances including a Semifinal<br />

appearance in 2007. Personal: Ruelas is the son of Romeo and Blanche Ruelas and is<br />

studying Kinesiology. His older brother, Winston, plays on the <strong>Texas</strong> State football team.<br />

Salinas is the son of Heriberto and Norma Salinas and is studying Civil Engineering.<br />

2011: Savere played in the final nine games of the season. He had a season high four<br />

tackles and a half tackle for loss against Lindenwood. He forced a fumble against Tarleton<br />

State. He finished the year with 16 tackles in a backup role. High School: Savere earned<br />

first team all-district and second team all-area honors at Warren High School as a senior.<br />

He led the team with 147 tackles during his senior year. He led his team to three Bi-District<br />

championships and three Area finals. Personal: Savere is the son of Mark Savere and<br />

Lisa Williams and is studying Business Management. He cousin played, Eric Brown,<br />

played in the NFL.<br />

tackles, 10.0 tackles for loss and 4.0 sacks as an interior lineman. High School: Savage<br />

played football at Flint Southwestern High School. Personal: Savage is studying Business<br />

Management.<br />

2011: Shaw became a regular starter at right guard for the <strong>Javelina</strong>s. He helped block for<br />

All-American running back Jonathan Woodson and was part of a protection unit that allowed<br />

both Sherman Batiste and Robert Armstrong to earn first team all-conference honors<br />

at wide receiver. 2010: Shaw was a backup on the offensive line, but still saw action in<br />

five games. He earned valuable experience in his first year traveling with the team. 2009:<br />

Shaw red-shirted his first year at <strong>Texas</strong> A&M-<strong>Kingsville</strong>. High School: Shaw was listed<br />

among the Greater Houston Top 250 prospects list at #98, the <strong>Texas</strong> 5A Players to Watch<br />

and Dave Campbell’s <strong>Texas</strong> <strong>Football</strong> as a top prospect. He is also a second degree black<br />

belt in Taekwondo. Personal: Shaw is the son of Elvis and Maria Shaw and is studying<br />

Management.
