unless you have received separate answer sheets for open-ended questions. If you have<br />

received answer sheets for open-ended questions, please use them to respond to question<br />

numbers that have a black bar through them on your multiple-choice answer sheet.<br />

SAY: When you see the words ―Go to the next page‖ at the bottom of the page, keep going to the<br />

next page. You will be completing the entire assessment today. When you come to the page<br />

with the star, continue on to complete both sessions of the assessment today. When you come<br />

to the phrase ―This is the end of the test,‖ you have finished the assessment.<br />

Do you have any questions?<br />

Pause for questions. When you are confident that all of the students understand the directions, continue.<br />

SAY: I will write the time on the board.<br />

You have 80 minutes to answer all of the questions. If you complete the assessment before<br />

time is called, go back and check your work.<br />

Record the start and stop times.<br />

After 70 minutes have passed,<br />

SAY: You have 10 more minutes to complete the assessment.<br />

After 80 minutes have passed,<br />

SAY: Please stop working. This is the end of the assessment. Close your assessment booklet, and<br />

place your answer sheet on top of the booklet.<br />

I will now collect the materials.<br />

Collect all assessment materials. Follow the procedures established for returning the materials in<br />

―Step 6: After the <strong>Assessment</strong>—Check Student Materials‖ of this manual.<br />

END OF ADMINISTRATION<br />

In order for complete reports to appear in ARIS, you must score constructed-response questions and enter those<br />

scores into Acuity within three weeks of the last day of the test administration date. Directions for scoring and<br />

entering constructed-response questions can be found in the Appendix of this manual. Scoring rubrics and<br />

exemplars can be found in the separate Teacher Guide for your subject and grade.<br />
