• Total hysterectomy where patient has invasive or early invasive
carcinoma of cervix
Further follow up determined by gynaecologist/ oncologist, which
might include subsequent vault cytology and/ or colposcopy.
Responsibility of clinician to ensure that patient properly followed up;
she will not be subject to further recall by NSP.
• Total hysterectomy for carcinoma of cervix also treated by
radiotherapy
Patient will receive further follow-up determined by gynaecologist/
oncologist, which might include colposcopy. Responsibility of
clinician to ensure that patient properly followed up; she will not be
subject to further recall by NSP.
