<strong>The</strong> B4245 is an arterial route<br />

from Chepstow that serves the<br />

population of Caldicot, Portskewett, Rogiet,<br />

Undy, Magor and surrounding areas. <strong>The</strong> road<br />

is heavily congested at peak times in the<br />

morning and evening and extremely busy at<br />

all other times. <strong>The</strong>re are planned housing<br />

developments at Undy and Portskewett which<br />

will only add to the volume of traffic using this<br />

road. <strong>The</strong> abandoning of the M4 relief road for<br />

the foreseeable future will also exacerbate the<br />

traffic situation in the coming years.<br />

Magor and Undy, the ever increasing need to<br />

commute to work, the lack of a solution to the<br />

congestion on the B4245, the need to reduce<br />

the carbon footprint, are all justifiable needs to<br />

open a station at Magor with Undy.<br />

In an endeavour to secure the objective of a<br />

new station development for the communities<br />

of Magor and Undy, the action group MAGOR<br />

has been formed. We aspire to open the<br />
